Description
This class is designed for those who are sensing a call to preach as well as those who are already licensed or ordained. Using On Preaching by H.B. Charles as the primary text, students will examine the biblical foundation, spiritual preparation, and sacred responsibility of proclaiming God’s Word. With additional insight from Cleophus LaRue’s Power in the Pulpit and More Power in the Pulpit, the course will focus on developing sermons that are faithful to Scripture, sensitive to context, and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Participants will be challenged to grow in theological depth, preaching discipline, and pulpit effectiveness.
